In 2009, Family Promise of Grand Rapids served 55 families including 49 single parent families, 6 two-parent families and 105 children. 84% of the IHN families were able to find permanent and independent housing (This is almost double the average success rate of 47% for shelters. 78% of the families successfully found housing in an average of only 26 days and eight of the parents, who were not already employed, found employment during their stay.

RBI is our Rapid Rehousing and Prevention Initiative that provides short term rent subsidies and assistance with long term case management to qualified families as they move into housing.

PIH is our permanent housing initiative that offers an option for home ownership for those qualified clients who would like to live in manufactured housing.

Furniture Donation Program (FDP) >>
FDP collects household items from donors in the community and gives these to families as they transition into housing.

FM is our support initiative that builds relationships with newly housed families and individuals, working together to maintain their independence and self-reliance.
