
Cheryl Schuch - Executive Director
Cheryl was hired as the Executive Director of Family Promise in January of 2010. She brings years of experience in the nonprofit and private sectors to Family Promise as it continues to expand its services to families in housing crisis.
Barbara Zylstra - Assistant Director
Barbara was hired as the Assistant Director in August 2003. She is the Interfaith Hospitality Network and Partners In Housing program manager. Prior to being on staff, Barbara was a volunteer at Cornerstone United Methodist Church and has been an IHN Board Member.
Donna Evans - ReBuilding Individuals Program Manager and IHN Case Manager
Donna was hired at Family Promise in April 2003. She is the Area Representative for International Student Exchange, has worked with Alger Heights neighborhood association, is trained as a S.A.L.T. leader and a Crossing Guard for the Grand Rapids Public Schools.
Edie James - Sunday staff/Van Driver/Furniture Donation Program Manager
In 2007 Edie started at IHN through GRCC's Academic Service Learning Center's work study program. In 2008 she was hired on as staff to run the Sunday Day Center Program and is now our furniture donation program manager.
Mary Brown - Mentoring Program Manager
Mary joined Family Promise of Grand Rapids in 2009 to help implement the Family Promise Mentoring program. Mary’s passion is people development and she has displayed this passion in her work with many training and organizational development initiatives with local business, non-profits and educational organizations.
Tom Split - Van Driver
Tom has a long history with Family Promise. He started in 2002 as the Coordinator of Princton CRC and for the last 4 years he has worked as a Van Driver for the families.
